Presentations of the epi Pre-Council Seminar “Inventive step and recent case law at the EPO” (Sofia, 10th May 2019)

On the occasion of a pre-Council seminar on “Inventive step and recent case law at the EPO” held on 10th May 2019 in Sofia, epi’s speaker and EPO former director of DG1 Mr Daniel Thomas gave an in-depth presentation on Inventive step and gave an overview on the Case Law of the Boards of Appeal.
The presentations were followed by concrete exercises and solutions inviting to questions from the audience and open discussions. The afternoon session was jointly organized by the epi with the support of Mr Paolo Rambelli, Chairman of the Professional Education Committee, and Ms Barbara Kunič Tešovič, Vice-President of the epi.
The session enabled exchanges and networking during the coffee break and the reception that followed the seminar.
Our Institute was happy to welcome the presence of the Secretary General of AIPPI and representatives from the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
