First UPC Referral to CJEU in Dyson v. Dreame

The UPC Court of Appeals has made its first referral to the CJEU in a case centering on what has become known as long-arm jurisdiction. This referral will shed light on how far and under which circumstances can the UPC’s legal reach extend beyond its contracting member states, the interpretation of “intermediary” in patent disputes, and what is required to avoid irreconcilable judgements when there is infringement in a contracting member state and non-contracting member state in the EU.
