The Unified Patent Court opens sandbox testing environment on 10 September 2025

Now is the time for a two-week open testing of the new UPC CMS.

In preparation for the roll-out of the second phase of the new CMS, scheduled for 23 September 2025, the Unified Patent Court is pleased to announce that a sandbox testing environment is now available. As of 10 September 2025, users are invited to connect to the new CMS sandbox environment to test the system’s functionalities, in addition to opt-out applications and representative registration, which are already available in production. The sandbox environment includes two accesses: Front Office and Front Office Portfolio.

• Front Office access allows to: (1) File new test submissions and requests; and (2) Manage test user profiles and test user organisations.

• Front Office Portfolio access allows to: (1) File new test submissions and requests; and (2) View/manage UPC test cases associated with the given user / user organisation.
