Yesterday 28 November, at a meeting of the EU’s Competitiveness Council, the UK’s Intellectual Property Minister Baroness Neville-Rolfe announced that the UK Government intends to ratify the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court.

Before the Unified Patent Court Agreement (UPCA) can enter into force, it needs to be ratified by 13 Member States, including Germany, France and the UK (Art 89(1) UPCA).
