User consultation on the revision of the Rules of Procedure of the Boards of Appeal

The Boards of Appeal Committee (BOAC) and the President of the Boards of Appeal have launched a public written consultation inviting the users to comment on the proposed revised Rules of Procedure of the Boards of Appeal (RPBoA). This online consultation will remain open until noon on 30 April 2018 and can be accessed through this link: https://forms.epo.org/law-practice/consultation/ongoing/boards-of-appeal-consultation-form.html

The epi has sent its comments to the President of the Boards of Appeal by means of a letter and completed the online consultation on the basis of the views expressed in this letter. The epi had previously sent preliminary comments about amendment of the RPBoA with a letter of 7 September 2017. The Institute encourages all members to take part in the present written consultation on the proposed revised RPBoA, and would welcome use of the epi papers as guidance.
