epi becomes supporter of the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP)

The Inventor Assistance Program (IAP), a WIPO initiative in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (the Forum), is the first global program of its kind. It aims at facilitating to spur innovation from the initial phases towards new and useful products and processes by helping under-resourced inventors and small-businesses in developing countries to obtain patent protection and therefore attract further financial or collaboration resources.

Library is launched on the epi website

We are very pleased to announce that the new feature “Library” has been added to our website.

The “Library” replaces the “Documents” area on our website and is a clearly structured and more detailed feature which offers to our members the possibility to search for any document by type, by date, keyword or category of the document.

Registration of professional training and activities

Please be informed about an important change to the rules pertaining to the EQE: It is now compulsory for EQE candidates to register at the beginning of their professional activities and training. Candidates who have not registered will not be able to enrol next year to the pre-examination 2018.

UK decides to ratify Unified Patent Court Agreement

Yesterday 28 November, at a meeting of the EU’s Competitiveness Council, the UK’s Intellectual Property Minister Baroness Neville-Rolfe announced that the UK Government intends to ratify the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court.
