EPO Online Filing – Problem filing applications without fee payment

Some members have reported problems filing European patent applications and oppositions via Online Filing (eOLF), particularly where no fees are to be paid with the filing.

Election to Council 2020 - Vote now!

The election shall be by remote e-voting. On 15th January 2020 letters have been sent to all epi Members, containing a personal password from our independent voting service provider, Civica Election Services, allowing you to vote via the election website https://www.cesvotes.com/epi2020. The ballot is open 24 hours a day and closes at 23:59 GMT on 17th February 2020. You must vote by that time for your vote to be included.

JUVE Patent Publishes Article on epi Position

The epi is of the opinion that the current prohibition of professional partnership of German attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys with European Patent Attorneys is unnecessarily restrictive, out-of-date and not in compliance with the law. It contradicts the need for interdisciplinary services felt by both clients and members of the professions involved. The article by JUVE Patent provides a useful summary of the problem illustrated with examples from actual practice experienced by epi members.
