Please note that the epi has been made aware that some of our patent attorney firms in Europe have been entrusted with work by one or more unreliable agents from outside Europe. Apparently, the firm was entrusted with a series of applications, but after a while invoices were no longer paid, and applications were transferred away to another European patent attorney firm.

The following user consultations regarding the Reform of the Boards of Appeal were sent by an official letter from the President of the epi, Mr. Tony Tangena, to the President of the European Patent Institut, Mr. Benoît Battistelli, and the Chairman of the Administrative Council, Mr. Jesper Kongstad, on 29 June 2015.

The epi has uploaded to its Intranet a document highlighting recent procedural changes concerning European and PCT applications. The document has been kindly provided by the EPO DG1 to the EPPC which, in turn, pleaded for making it available to all epi members through the epi website. The poster is designed to be printed on A0 size paper, but can be printed on smaller A sizes.

This year, the European Patent Office (EPO) and China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their bilateral cooperation. To mark this occasion, an international symposium is being organised in Lyon (FR), in partnership with the CCIR (chamber of commerce and industry for the Rhône-Alpes region).
