epi welcomes Montenegro which became the 39th state to join the European Patent Organisation on 1st October 2022.

At its spring meeting in Munich on 7 May 2022, the epi Council decided to establish the “Committees’ Election Committee”, a new committee to ensure the smooth running of elections to Committees.

epi is looking for volunteers from among the epi members who wish to become members of this new committee.

The EQE Online Workshops are for EQE candidates who have passed the Pre-Examination and are now preparing for the main EQE.

Hybrid event on 11 October 2022 in Munich. We are pleased to offer this hybrid event which gives an intensive and practical overview of the law, the jurisprudence, and their relevance to you in proceedings before the Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office, focussing also on the new Rules of Procedure of the Boards of Appeal, which entered into force on 1 January 2020, and their significance for opposition and appeal proceedings.

In autumn 2022 epi plans three seminars jointly held with the EPO, with expert speakers from the epi and the EPO. On 5 October 2022 in Munich you have the opportunity to join our seminar on the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court.
